Elks Memorial Service

We hold our Elks Memorial Service on

The 1st Sunday in December at 1:00 PM at the Lodge

This service is a tribute of remembrance

to the members of Pittsburgh Lodge No. 11

who have passed away the preceding year.

The Vacant Chair

We will meet but we will miss him,

There will be his vacant chair;

We will linger to caress him

While we breathe our evening prayer;

When a year ago we gathered,

Joy was in his mild blue eye,

But a golden chord is severed,

And our hopes in ruin lie.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me.

In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.

If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you,

I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be"
